The Role
Oxfam International is recruiting a Strategy and Feminist Futures Director. This will be a 4 years contract opportunity to join the OI Executive Leadership Team (ELT), reporting into the OI Executive Director (OIED) and leading a small department of currently 8 staff. As SFF Director, you will oversee confederation-wide engagement on Oxfam’s Global Strategic Framework, global governance, confederation development and our work around feminist futures – ensuring the coherence and integrity of our global choices, and strategic leadership that is firmly grounded in a feminist approach. Priorities for this interim role will be agreed between the OIED and successful candidate but are expected to include accompaniment of the next global horizon process, co-leadership on the further development of Oxfam as a diversified network (including through ‘southern Affiliation’), support to the consolidation of the SFF Gender Justice Team, and coordination with the OI Board and other global governance stakeholders in the implementation of a recent learning review. Who we’re looking for
Our next Strategy and Feminist Futures Director will have proven leadership ability at a senior, strategic level in a complex dispersed organization and with strong leadership, coordination/ management and people skills; will have ability to operate in a complex environment with experience in leading large-scale organizational change processes together with others will have exceptionally high collaboration skills and be comfortable with navigating overlapping roles and responsibilities. S/he will have experienced in political dialogue, influencing and organizational culture change processes that have a strong emphasis on gender justice, safeguarding and diversity and inclusion.
