The Role
Oxfam International Secretariat is looking for the Just Energy Transitions Project Coordinator to provide leadership of day-to-day project operations ensuring that agreed outputs are achieved on time and on budget. The project coordinator will be reporting to the project Management Team (MT) and line-managed by the MT lead. More details on the project’s governance principles and structure can be found here.
Key Responsibilities (Technical, Leadership, People and Resource management)
- Work in an inclusive manner with participating country teams to: co-design, develop and implement the project (full proposal ready), elaborate on the criteria for the selection of projects and identify relevant initiatives to be connected/supported/promoted as “good practice” in the framework of the project
- Lead on external/internal outsourcing of relevant deliverables (i.e policy brief and communications report)
- Prepare, enable, facilitate and document learning workshops. A global (virtual) learning event is planned bringing together all “good practice” cases identified. A technical paper will be elaborated by the project coordinator as an outcome of the global learning event. (If more funding comes into the pipeline, the project may also support on-site learning workshops at the country or regional levels).
- Coordination between Oxfam entities at various levels (participating project teams, relevant Just Energy Transitions groups, contributing affiliates, etc.)
- Management of the support fund: presenting applications for Management Team’s approval, making OPA arrangements and follow-up with benefitting teams.
- Liaise closely, as needed, with members of the Management Team and with other relevant people from affiliate, regions or countries in-between the meetings.

Who we're looking for
- Prior project management experience, preferably on JET (Just Energy Transition) projects.
- Some knowledge of energy policy issues. Fluent or with a strong working knowledge (written and spoken) of English with knowledge of Spanish, French and/ or Arabic a distinct advantage.
- Results oriented with strong project and information management skills, including the ability to hold complex spaces and to coordinate and facilitate diverse groups.
- Proven experience in utilizing digital platforms to support online communities.
- Experience in organizing and managing events and workshops.
- Ability to digest and present complex issues in a way that makes them accessible to different target audiences.
- Strong people and communication skills, with the ability to work across boundaries and to lead and motivate others.
- Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of feminist and decolonial ways of working.
- Innovative, creative and solutions focused, with the ability to achieve agreed outcomes with limited direct authority.
- Good understanding of related Oxfam MS Office Tools (Teams, Workplace, Compass).
