The Role

Oxfam International’s Africa Platform is looking for Grants Accountant who has finance responsibilities for the accurate, timely and efficient reporting and compliance with all regulatory and donor requirements. This includes donor reports, donor/Oxfam budgets for new projects/contracts, and supporting the financial management and reporting of Oxfam International.

We’re looking for a person with

• Appropriate accounting qualification supported by membership of a relevant professional body (eg. Chartered or Certified Accounting body)
• Experience in donor reporting and donor compliance
• Experience in financial management regulations for different international donors
• Experience in financial accounting including solutions focused customer service skills
• Significant experience with an ERP finance system;
• High levels of computer literacy with advanced proficiency in MS Excel
• A high level of self-motivation, proven initiative and ability to work with limited supervison, demonstrating excellent time management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in English
